Quarterly Development Tracking Report

The Quarterly Development Tracking Report summarizes residential and commercial development activity and trends in Arlington. Information in these reports is generated from County staff reports, County Board minutes and data on Certificate of Occupancy (CO) permits, building permits and demolition permits.

Highlights from this quarter’s report:

The County Board approved the Waverly Ridge, Walgreens site, and Alexan Courthouse projects totaling 741 residential units and 7,228 SF of retail.
The adaptive reuse project located at 1800 and 1901 S Bell Street was also approved which will convert approximately 500,000 SF of office space to 315 residential units and 9,943 SF of retail.
The RCA site plan project, currently under construction, was amended by the County Board for 125 temporary hotel rooms.
Crystal Houses 7 was issued a building permit for 14 residential units.
The office building located at 4600 Fairfax Drive, Joyce Motors, Rosenthal Dodge and Goodwill sites were issued demolition permits.
Three (3) Expanded Housing Option (EHO) projects were approved totaling eight (8) units. Two (2) EHO projects were issued building permits totaling six (6) units.
