Historic and Cultural Resources Plan - Feedback Form through October 1: Share your feedback with Historic Preservation on the recommended draft of the Historic and Cultural Resources Plan. This draft plan will be considered by the County Board this fall. Learn more about the draft plan here.

Environmental Assessment for the Crystal City to Washington National Airport (CC2DCA) Connector – Feedback Opportunity through October 3: Learn about the Environmental Assessment for theCC2DCA Environmental Assessment and share your thoughts using the online feedback form through October 3.

Share Your Thoughts on Use Permits for Public Space Design Processes – Virtual Event on October 3, 12-1 p.m.:Join us for a lunch hour session to learn about an effort to consider Use Permits for Public Space Design Processes. Use Permits could provide opportunities for more flexibility in zoning regulations that would allow the County Board to consider adjustments to standards on a case-by-case basis. Use this opportunity to get your questions answered or share feedback. You can also share your feedback on the online form now through October 8. Visit the project page to learn more.

Pupusas with the Police and Sheriff – In-Person on October 3, 5-7 p.m.: Join the Arlington County Police Department and the Arlington County Sheriff's Office, with our partners at PathForward and Doorways, for an informal engagement event at Sofia’s Pupuseria (3610 Columbia Pike) to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and enjoy some pupusas. Coffee with a Cop - In-Person on October 4: Join the Arlington County Police Department for Coffee with a Cop for an opportunity to meet officers, ask questions, discuss public safety concerns, and get to know one another. Coffee with a Cop will be held on October 4 at Compass Coffee (4100 Wilson Blvd) from 8:00-10:00 a.m., and Idido's Coffee and Social House (1107 S. Walter Reed Drive) from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Visit the event page to learn more.

STAR Customer Feedback Opportunity – Feedback Form through October 15: Arlington Transit is inviting STAR (Specialized Transportation for Arlington Residents) customers to share their thoughts on current service. STAR is a shared-ride service for people whose disabilities prevent them from riding other bus and rail services. STAR provides a comparable level of public transportation to that provided by ART, Metrobus and Metrorail and complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. Learn more about STAR here.

Gunston Park Playground Renovation – Feedback Form through October 18: Share your feedback to help inform upcoming renovations for the playground area of Gunston Park which has reached the end of its useful life. Safe Homes, Safe Relationships - Feedback Form in English or español: Share your feedback with Project PEACE on any experience you may have been using, looking for, or if you are referring people to resources for those impacted by domestic/intimate partner violence and sexual assault in Arlington County. Your feedback is confidential. Results will help enhance and improve services for everyone in the county. 

Arlington's Racial History Timeline Update - Sign Up to Share Your Story: The County Manager’s Office of R.A.C.E. is expanding its expanding its Racial History Timeline, a resource that documents key historical events in housing, education, transportation, community facilities and more. We are collecting oral histories from community members like you to build on the time period from 1976 to 1990. Demographic Data Dashboard for Arlington's Civic Associations - Feedback Form: Share your thoughts on the new data dashboard breaks down Population and Demographic Estimates for Arlington's civic associations. The dashboard is in beta form, and the County is asking the community to test out the dashboard and let us know about your experience. 

General Land Use Plan Amendments (Request to Advertise issued July 15, 2023): Two components: first relating to an amendment to the General Land Use Plan from "Government and Community Facilities" to "Medium Density Mixed-Use" meant to be concurrent with the consideration of the Wells Fargo/Verizon site plan application and the other action regarding amending the GLUP Public Facility Map  and table to identify four telecommunication facilities located County-wide for conformance with state law review requirements. Public hearing dates on the GLUP amendment related to the Wells Fargo/Verizon site plan have not yet been set. Public hearings for amendments to the GLUP Public Facility Map and table component will be heard by the Planning Commission no early than September 11, 2023, and by the County Board no earlier than September 23, 2023. Members of the public can register to speak at public hearings on these items once they are scheduled, and registration opens approximately a week before the meeting. 2500 Wilson Boulevard (Request to Advertise, Issued May 13, 2023): Changing the 2500 Wilson Boulevard Block, following a Tier I Special GLUP Study, from the “Low Office-Apartment-Hotel" to “Medium Office-Apartment-Hotel" designation. The amendment comes at the request of TMG 2500 Wilson Boulevard LLC, which submitted an application for a Special GLUP study for this property and has expressed interest in future redevelopment. Members of the public can register to speak at public hearings on these items once they are scheduled, and registration opens approximately a week before the meeting. Before a public hearing is held, the Board can receive email feedback at countyboard@arlingtonva.us

3108 Columbia Pike (Request to Advertise, Issued May 13, 2023): Amending the Facility Map and Table to facilitate the creation of a publicly-owned parking lot, located at 3108 Columbia Pike. This property was acquired by the County in March 2022 after it was identified as a potential site for a future Columbia Pike branch library and for a potential co-location of County Board priorities, such as affordable housing. In the interim, staff recommends demolishing the existing office building at this site, which is not fit for re-use, to expand parking for lease to Arlington Public Schools. Members of the public can register to speak at public hearings on these items once they are scheduled, and registration opens approximately a week before the meeting. Before a public hearing is held, the Board can receive email feedback at countyboard@arlingtonva.us.

Sunrise Senior Living Facility at 2000 N. Glebe Road (Request to Advertise, Issued May 13, 2023): Changing the status of the area located at the northwestern corner of North Glebe Road and 20th Street North" from Residential (1-10 units/acre) to Low-Medium Residential. The amendment comes at the request of Sunrise Development, Inc., which is seeking to rebuild the current facility into a new three- to four-story assisted living facility comprising approximately 85 senior housing units and below-grade parking. Members of the public can register to speak at public hearings on these items once they are scheduled, and registration opens approximately a week before the meeting. Before a public hearing is held, the Board can receive email feedback at countyboard@arlingtonva.us
