Arlington County Government offices & services are operating on modified schedules for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Courts & Judicial Services are closed. Please note, no fingerprinting services will occur at the ACSO since courts are closed.
DMV & DMV Select DMV Select at Bozman Government Center at Window 218 is closed.  Visit DMV’s Online Services to access many available transactions.
Human Services

Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, and Mental Health Emergency Services open 24/7/365.

Wed., Nov. 26

  • All community centers will close at 5 p.m.


Thu., Nov. 27

  • All community centers are closed.
  • Administrative offices closed.


Fri., Nov. 28

  • All community centers are closed, except for Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center.
  • Administrative offices closed.
  • Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Permit parking is always in effect unless specifically noted on the sign. Meters are not enforced on holidays.

Recycling/Trash/Organics Curbside Pickup
  • Recycling/Trash/Organics Curbside Routes –No collection on Thursday, Nov. 27. Thursday routes run on Friday, Nov. 28; Friday routes run on Saturday, Nov. 29

  • Leaf Collection - No first passes will be done on Thursday, Nov. 27. Vacuum trucks will resume leaf collection on Friday, Nov. 28

  • Special Collections (Brush, Metal, E-waste) – No collection on Thursday, Nov. 27
Treasurer’s Office

The Treasurer's Office will close at noon on Wednesday, November 26 and remain closed through Friday, November 28. CAPP is available for online payments 24 hours a day.
Cultural Affairs

The Studios at Arlington Arts: Closed
Scenery Studio: Closed

Arlington County Government offices and facilities are closed on all federal holidays except Columbus Day.

Parking

  • Permit parking is always in effect unless specifically noted on the sign.
  • Meters are not enforced on Federal holidays, including Columbus Day or on County holidays (dates listed below) 
  • All other violations will be enforced.
  • Some parking restrictions may apply during special events. Motorists should look for temporary “no parking” signs.

***Election Day is observed every four years for Presidential Elections.
