The Housing Division provides information and resources to help low-income individuals and families find affordable housing in Arlington. These include grants and vouchers to cover a portion of monthly rent payments, apartment search tools and a listing of affordable units throughout the County. Affordable housing is available at numerous apartment complexes in Arlington for people with low to moderate incomes. Here’s a listing of complexes that are required to set aside affordable rental units.
Housing Grants provide monthly rental assistance to low-income Arlington residents, including the elderly, persons with disabilities and working families with children.

Formerly titled Section 8, this federally funded rental assistance program helps very low-income families, elderly and disabled residents to afford suitable housing.

The County has established guidelines regarding tenant displacement and tenants who must be relocated due to redevelopment may be entitled to relocation payments or other benefits. Housing staff can assist developers to create a relocation plan.
