We support a variety of programs to ensure housing choices are available for people of all income levels. Our Housing Information Center can answer questions and provide information on a wide range of housing services including tenant-landlord issues, fair housing, affordable housing, rental assistance and first-time homebuyer programs.
Programs and resources are available to help low-income individuals and families find affordable housing in Arlington. The Housing Division also provides information for tenants and landlords, and offers mediation referral services to help resolve tenant-landlord disputes.
First-time homebuyers may qualify for free homeownership classes, low-interest home loans, and assistance with down payment and closing costs. Other services include low-interest loans and grants to fund home improvements and repairs, and free foreclosure prevention counseling.
Federal, State and County laws prohibit discrimination in residential housing based on sexual orientation, race, color, sex, marital status, religion, national origin, elderliness, physical or mental disability or familial status of the home seeker.
