Arlington County Government offices & services are operating on modified schedules for the Christmas holiday.

  • Courts & Judicial Services are closed.
  • No fingerprinting services will occur at the ACSO since courts are closed. 
  • Please note that the Courthouse is also closed on Wednesday, December 24.

 
DMV & DMV Select DMV Select at Bozman Government Center at Window 218 is closed.  Visit DMV’s Online Services to access many available transactions.
Human Services

Child Protective Services, Adult Protective Services, and Mental Health Emergency Services open 24/7/365.

Wed., Dec. 24

  • All community centers will close at 5 p.m.


Thu., Dec. 25

  • All community centers are closed.
  • Administrative offices closed.


Fri., Dec. 26

  • All community centers are closed, except for Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center.
  • Administrative offices closed.
  • Long Bridge Aquatics & Fitness Center is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Permit parking is always in effect unless specifically noted on the sign. Meters are not enforced on holidays.

Recycling/Trash/Organics Curbside Pickup
  • Recycling/Trash/Organics Curbside Routes – No collection on Thursday, Dec. 25. Thursday routes will be serviced on Friday, Dec. 26; Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday, Dec. 27.

  • Special Collections (Brush, Metal, E-waste) – No collection on Thursday, Dec. 25. Thursday routes will be serviced on Friday, Dec. 26; Friday routes will be serviced on Saturday, Dec. 27.
Treasurer’s Office

The Treasurer's Office is closed to walk-in customers from Wednesday, Dec. 24 through Friday, Jan. 2. Staff is available to assist you by email or phone.

The Treasurer's Office will fully close at noon on Wednesday, Dec. 24 and remain closed through Friday, Dec. 26. CAPP is available for online payments 24 hours a day.
Cultural Affairs

Arlington County Government offices and facilities are closed on all federal holidays except Columbus Day.

Parking

  • Permit parking is always in effect unless specifically noted on the sign.
  • Meters are not enforced on Federal holidays, including Columbus Day or on County holidays (dates listed below) 
  • All other violations will be enforced.
  • Some parking restrictions may apply during special events. Motorists should look for temporary “no parking” signs.

***Election Day is observed every four years for Presidential Elections.
