 Free Nutrition Classes with VCE

The Virginia Cooperative Extension (VCE) is offering a Nutrition Lunch & Learn and the Healthy Living Program is excited to be joining in! Please note, class may be cancelled due to low enrollment.

Parks and Recreation
Fee Reduction

 If you receive services from the Department of Human Services (DHS)/Behavioral Health Division (BHD), you are eligible for a 75% fee reduction for memberships to facilities and classes. Those who are 55+ receive additional discounts on class registrations!

Apply for a Fee Reduction

When it asks which DHS service you receive, you will select: DHS Mental/Physical Health Services. There is NO requirement to upload documentation or a photo ID.

Fee reductions are also available for Arlington County pools! Ask HLP staff if you would like to apply.

Free Orientation for the Gym and Equipment

Has it been a while since you’ve been in a fitness center? Are you new to fitness equipment? Sign up for a FREE orientation by email. 

Fitness Equipment Orientation: Offered most months. Space is limited, check with the fitness center front desk for specific dates and times.


Group Personal Training

Arlington County Parks and Recreation has officially rolled out group personal training. Ask HLP staff if you are interested or if you have any questions. Trainings take place at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center.

Financial Classes with Virginia Cooperative Extension

Join Virginia Cooperative Extension to learn some financial tips! These classes are in partnership with Arlington County Healthy Living Program. Register for as many classes as you like. Classes are usually held on Wednesdays from 12:00 -1:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated. Please note, classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
