REPORTS
ATTEMPTED CARJACKING, 2025-08210117, N. Culpeper Street at 19th Street N. At approximately 1:21 p.m. on August 21, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim observed the male suspect attempting to steal his motorcycle and confronted him during which the suspect displayed what appeared to be a firearm before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers located the suspect inside a nearby residence and subsequently took him into custody. During the course of the investigation, suspected narcotics and an airsoft gun were recovered. The suspect was also determined to be a convicted felon. Timothy Daerray Hudgens, 36, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Attempted Carjacking, Use of a Firearm During Commission of a Felony, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon and Possession of a Schedule I/II Controlled Substance. He was held without bond.
INDECENT EXPOSURE, 2025-08210056, N. Oakland Street at Langston Boulevard. At approximately 9:10 a.m. on August 21, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, a responding officer observed the male suspect exposing himself and confronted him. Hernan Ayala, 35, of No Fixed Address was issued a summons for Indecent Exposure and was released from the scene.
ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-08210131, 800 block of S. Greenbrier Street. At approximately 2:29 p.m. on August 21,police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined the two female victims returned to their home and observed the male suspect attempting to force entry into their residence before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a white male, approximately 25-35 years old, 5’6”-5’8” with brown hair. The investigation is ongoing.
