REPORTS
ROBBERY, 2025-11240163, 2700 Washington Boulevard. At approximately 4:21 p.m. on November 24, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business and inquired about merchandise. As an employee was showing the suspect the items, he allegedly grabbed the merchandise from the employee’s hands and subsequently exited the store without payment. When confronted by another employee outside of the business, the suspect implied a weapon before fleeing the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. Later that evening, the suspect was taken into custody in Fairfax County and was subsequently transported to Arlington County. Sandy McDuffie, 60, of Alexandria, Va., was arrested, and charged with Robbery and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony. He was held without bond.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (Late), 2025-11240169, 1500 block of S. Edgewood Street. On November 24, police received an online report for a late burglary. It was reported that between November 23 and November 24, the unknown suspect(s) attempted to force entry into the residence, causing property damage, and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
