REPORTS
WEAPONS VIOLATION (Significant), 2025-11210223, 3200 block of 24th Street S. At approximately 10:22 p.m. on November 21, officers observed the wanted male suspect walking outside and issued commands before he fled on foot onto nearby school property. Following a foot pursuit, the suspect was taken into custody in the area of S. Lowell Street and 22nd Street S. A modified semi-automatic firearm and extended magazine were recovered as well as a distribution amount of suspected narcotics. During the course of the investigation, the suspect was confirmed to be a convicted felon and had outstanding warrants out of Fairfax County, Va., Loudoun County, Va. and by the Virginia State Police and Arlington County Sheriff’s Office. Zakaria Sudi, 25, of Falls Church, Va. was arrested and charged with Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of Ammunition by a Convicted Felon, Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds, Possession of a Trigger Activator, Carrying a Loaded Firearm In Public Areas Prohibited, Possession with Intent to Distribute Marijuana and Obstruction of Justice. He was served with the outstanding warrants and was held without bond.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-11230015, 3100 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 12:55 a.m. on November 23, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside a business when the male suspect approached him and struck him, causing a laceration. The suspect approached the victim again outside of the business and struck him, causing him to fall on the ground. The suspect subsequently fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The suspect is described as a thin-build, mixed-race male, approximately 5’7” with black hair, wearing a black short-sleeve t-shirt and blue jeans. The investigation is ongoing.
ROBBERY, 2025-11220098,1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 2:17 p.m. on November 22, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, concealed merchandise in his jacket and exited the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, the suspect made threatening statements before fleeing the scene on foot with the stolen merchandise. No injuries were reported. The suspect is described as a thin-build, Black male with black dreadlocks, approximately 5’11” tall, wearing a black puffer jacket, black pants and black and white shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY (Late), 2025-11210069, 2100 block of N. Pierce Street. At approximately 11:23 a.m. on November 21, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined a witness observed that during the overnight hours, an unknown suspect made entry into the secured storage room of a business, moved boxes around and subsequently fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’5” tall wearing a t-shirt and leggings. The investigation is ongoing.
UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-11210199, 700 block of S. Ode Street. At approximately 8:25 p.m. on November 21, police were dispatched to the report of trespassing. Upon arrival, it was determined several individuals made entry into a vacant apartment. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
BURGLARY (Late), 2025-11190057, 1000 block of N. Taylor Street. At approximately 9:51 a.m. on November 19, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined that at approximately 12:30 a.m. on November 18, the male suspect forced entry into the secured storage room of a residential building, stole a bike and subsequently fled the scene. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 50 years old, wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.
