Virginia Square Towers boasts an unbeatable location, just two blocks from the Virginia Square Metro station. The complex contains 534 apartments — each with contemporary finishes, designer kitchens and luxurious baths — as well as nearly 13,000 square feet of retail and service commercial space. All six of the affordable units are wheelchair accessible.
The project was approved by the County Board in September 2011 (Site Plan #416). It was developed by Dittmar, a company that has been building residential and commercial properties in Northern Virginia for almost 50 years. In addition to incorporating affordable units within the complex, Dittmar made a cash contribution of $2.2 million to Arlington’s Affordable Housing Investment Fund (AHIF).
This complex has six Committed Affordable Units (CAFs) for residents earning up to 60 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI), roughly $65,000 for a family of four.
