Pickleball Pilot Program

Pickleball Update at Glebe Park

To better balance the interest of pickleball players and Glebe Park neighbors, the Department of Parks and Recreation is testing a pilot program that will temporarily close the stand-alone pickleball court at Glebe Park and stripe two additional pickleball courts on tennis court #2 (currently court #1 is striped for two pickleball courts). This pilot program will run from April 18 to September 6. During this time, the stand-alone court will be closed for use.

The County’s goal is to provide recreation options for residents while at the same time supporting the interest of neighbors. Parks & Recreation will monitor court usage during the pilot, as well as research possible noise mitigation measures. We will also engage with park users and neighbors regarding this pilot project.
