• Fri., Sept. 25: The Gym will be closed 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. for The Northern Virginia Senior Olympics.
• Fri., Sept. 25: The Gym will close at 5:30 for Parents Night Out.
• Sat., Sept. 26: Arlington Mixed Doubles Pickleball Tournament (No Drop-in Sports).

About this Center & Park

This community center features meeting rooms, multipurpose rooms, a game room, a gymnasium and wireless internet access. Adults exploring post-retirement opportunities can help with the outdoor sensory garden.

The Walter Reed Community Center is designed to meet the LEED silver standard. The community center features a green roof, green open space and light-colored paving to help reduce heat impact, a vegetated roof, a bioretention area catch.

Walter Reed Park features a dedicated outdoor pickleball facility with six courts.

Pickleball Court Hours

Dedicated pickleball courts are drop-in only. Pickleball court hours are aligned with Walter Reed Community Center operating hours:

Monday to Friday: 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
Saturday: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday: 1 p.m. – 7 p.m.

The courts will be open from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on all federal/ County holidays except for Election Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Years Day.
