Constituent Services Office

Who We Are

The Constituent Services Office (CSO), housed within the Arlington County Manager’s Office, is dedicated to delivering responsive, equitable, and people-centered service. We serve as liaisons between residents and businesses, the County Manager, and County departments to ensure timely, transparent, and effective support.

We’re here to assist when standard channels don’t work as expected—but we are not a replacement for direct departmental help.

What We Do

The CSO acts as a trusted resource and vital bridge between the Arlington community (including businesses) and County government. We strive to:

  • Advocate for constituent needs and promote a government that centers community members in its services and decisions
  • Help community members understand and navigate County policies, programs, and processes
  • Research and respond to questions about County operations
  • Listen to and elevate constituent concerns and feedback
  • Connect community members with helpful resources, both within and beyond County government
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Respond to general County inquiries at 703-228-3000

When to Contact Us

If you’ve already contacted the relevant department and your issue is still unresolved—or if your concern is complex, cross-departmental, or unclear—the Constituent Services Office can help by:

  • Following up on unresolved issues
  • Clarifying policies and next steps
  • Referring you to internal or external partners
  • Coordinating responses across departments
  • Advocating for transparency and fairness

Note: In resolving issues, we rely on the expertise of County staff and do not have the authority to change decisions made by department personnel.  However, we may be able to gather additional information, provide context, or request additional review to support fair outcomes.
