About the Project

The applicant, CESC Plaza Limited Partnership, an affiliate of JBG Smith Properties, proposes to convert two 11-story towers of vacant office space to hotel and multi-family uses with related upgrades. 

• Conversion of the 2100 Crystal Drive tower from office use to hotel use (344 units proposed);  
• Conversion of the 2200 Crystal Drive tower from office use to multi-family residential use (195 units proposed);  
• Façade modifications to modernize the appearance of the existing buildings;  
• Internal programming and design changes to support the new uses;  
• Minor exterior landscaping/hardscaping improvements; and
• Modification of the Site Plan parking ratios (0.3 spaces/unit) to reflect the new hotel and multi-family residential uses.

There is no change to the height or massing of the existing building.
