Can My Family Enroll in WIC?

  • WIC is for all Virginia families - families with married or single parents, working or not working.
  • If you are a parent, foster parent, or other legal guardian of a child under 5 years of age, you can apply for your child.
  • If you are a parent who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or has a baby up to 6 months old, you can apply for yourself.
  • WIC has higher income guidelines than SNAP (EBT/Food Stamps) or Medicaid, you might not qualify for SNAP or Medicaid, but still may qualify for WIC.
  • Public Charge: Currently, participation in WIC will not impact public charge determinations. Learn more about this: English  |  Spanish  |  Arabic

Apply Online at myvawic.org

Note:

  • A person receiving standard Medicaid, FAMIS MOMS, SNAP (formerly known as Food Stamps), free or reduced school lunch, or TANF automatically meets the income eligibility requirement and should bring their enrollment card.
