Communications and Public Engagement
Part of the County Manager’s Office, the Communications and Public Engagement team is responsible for enterprise-wide communications, community engagement, video production, and constituent services. The team is lead by the Assistant County Manager for Communications and Public Engagement.
Communications
The Communications team serves as the County's lead for media and news, digital communication, social media, and the County website. The team manages a number of channels for Arlington County Government, including:
Arlington Video Group (AVG)
AVG is the video production team for Arlington County Government. The team creates original programming and videos for the County's YouTube and social media channels and live streams Board meetings and County events over Arlington's cable and YouTube channels. It also manages digital video screens in County facilities.
Public Engagement
Beginning in 2012, Arlington County began building its framework for community engagement. Today, with the leadership of the Public Engagement team, departments and teams across the County government have made civic engagement in County processes a cornerstone of their work, with a focus on building awareness and access for everyone.
- Engage Arlington is the County's community engagement hub, with links to current opportunities to provide input, information on how to get more involved in the community, and resources that guide engagement work across the County.
Constituent Services
The Constituent Services team helps ensure Arlington County Government works for everyone living, working, conducting business, or visiting the County. The team provides a link between residents, visitors, businesses, and the County government, helping those who need information and resources or are seeking solutions.
