REPORTS

ATTEMPTED MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-03210164, 18th Street N. at N. Quinn Street. At approximately 5:25 p.m. on March 21, police were dispatched to the report of a fight. Upon arrival, it was determined the female victim was outside a residential building when the male suspect, who is known to her, allegedly approached and engaged her in conversation. The suspect then brandished a knife and made threatening statements towards the female victim. The male victim subsequently attempted to intervene during which the suspect began to chase him with the knife before returning to the scene where responding officers located him and took him into custody. No injuries were reported. During the course of the investigation, a knife was recovered. Thomas McLachlan, 45, of No Fixed Address was arrested and charged with Attempted Malicious Wounding (x2) and Public Intoxication.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-03230027, 1200 block of N. Utah Street. At approximately 3:09 a.m. on March 23, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect allegedly made entry into the victim’s occupied residence, broke a window, resulting in lacerations, and subsequently fled the scene. Responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the area and took her into custody. Medics responded and treated the suspect on scene for minor injuries. Sarah Connolly, 22, of Ashburn, Va. was arrested and charged with Unlawful Entry and Public Intoxication.

ROBBERY, 2025-03210144, 800 block of S. Dinwiddie Street. At approximately 4:13 p.m. on March 21, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was walking in the area when the two male suspects grabbed him from behind, stole an undisclosed amount of cash from his wallet and subsequently fled the scene in a white vehicle. No injuries were reported. The suspects are described as dark-skinned males, approximately 5’11-6’3”, 25-50 years old. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2025-03220161, 700 block of N. Glebe Road. At approximately 8:34 p.m. on March 22, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the female suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and attempted to exit without payment during which she was confronted by loss prevention personnel. The suspect then shoved loss prevention personnel before exiting the store and fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers canvassed the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a thin-build Black female, approximately 5’3”-5’6”, wearing a yellow sweatshirt, black shirt, black pants, brown shoes and a pink hat. The investigation is ongoing.

BURGLARY (late), 2025-03210235, 3800 block of 7th Street N. At approximately 9:22 p.m. on March 21, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 5:45 p.m. and 8:20 p.m., the suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s unoccupied residence, stole alcohol and an undisclosed amount of cash and subsequently fled the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.

ATTEMPTED BURGLARY (late), 2025-03230157, 600 block of 23rd Street S. At approximately 8:29 p.m. on March 23, police were dispatched to the late report of a breaking and entering. It was determined between approximately 5:45 p.m. and 8:37 p.m. on March 20, the suspect(s) attempted to force entry into the victim’s unoccupied residence before fleeing the scene. There is no suspect description(s). The investigation is ongoing.
