REPORTS
MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2025-08160208/2025-08170023, 4800 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 11:43 p.m. on August 16, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was walking in the area when he was approached by the male suspect, who is known to him, and four additional male suspects who allegedly assaulted him, struck him with a bat and stole his wallet before fleeing the scene in a vehicle. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. At approximately 2:07 a.m. on August 17, the victim returned to the area when three of the suspects involved in the prior incident exited a vehicle and approached him. The suspects brandished what appeared to be machetes and made threatening statements. The victim ran away from the scene and called police. Upon police arrival, officers located two suspects at the scene and a third suspect near Four Mile Run Trail and took them into custody. During the course of the investigation, two machetes and two bats were recovered. Marvin Martinez Ruano, 25, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Mob, Malicious Wounding by Mob and Robbery. Jeffrey Lovos Luna, 29, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Mob, Malicious Wounding by Mob and Robbery. Gustavo Ramirez Flores, 18, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Brandishing a Machete, Assault and Battery by Mob, Malicious Wounding by Mob and Robbery. The suspects were held in the Arlington County Detention Facility. The investigation is ongoing.
MALICIOUS WOUNDING, 2025-08160030, 4100 block of Columbia Pike. At approximately 2:17 a.m. on August 16, police were dispatched to the report of an assault with weapon and injury. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim attempted to break up a physical altercation outside of a business when one of the individuals involved in the altercation allegedly struck him with a glass bottle, causing a laceration. The suspect then fled the scene on foot. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, was treated by medics at the scene and declined transport to an area hospital for further treatment. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers located an individual matching the description of the suspect in the 900 block of N. Randolph Street and took him into custody. Everth Escobar Catari, 29, of Arlington, VA, was arrested and charged with Malicious Wounding and Public Intoxication.
BURGLARY, 2025-08170131, 4200 block of N. Pershing Drive. At approximately 6:00 p.m. on August 17, police were dispatched to the report of a burglary. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his residence when the suspect, who is known to him, entered his residence and stole his credit card before fleeing the scene. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.
