REPORTS
ATTEMPTED UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-08180210, 200 block of N. Piedmont Street. At approximately 11:24 p.m. on August 18, police were dispatched to the report of a breaking and entering. Upon arrival, it was determined the victim was inside her residence when she heard a noise and upon further investigation, observed the unknown suspect attempting to make entry into her home by turning the doorknob. The suspect fled the scene on foot when he was unsuccessful. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a White male, approximately 5’6” tall, approximately 160-170 pounds, with salt and pepper colored hair, wearing a black sweatshirt and black pants. The investigation is ongoing.
