July 2023 Fire Station 8 Progress Update Meeting

Please join the Fire Station 8 construction team for an update on the progress of the new building on Wednesday, July 19 at 7 p.m. The team will share photos and highlights from the work completed to date and discuss upcoming construction milestones before the building is completed in early 2024.

This is a hybrid meeting that will be hosted in person at the Langston-Brown Community Center multipurpose room with a virtual option for those who cannot attend in person. This meeting will also be recorded.

The new Fire Station 8 will be Arlington County's first fire station to incorporate many of the County's new sustainability goals, including an energy efficient building envelope, a green vegetated roof, and solar panels to reduce the building's commercial energy demand. Upon completion, a small-scale historical exhibit will be displayed in the lobby to convey the personal contributions, stories, and human connections of the members of Fire Station 8 from its origins in 1918 through the present day. For more information about the Fire Station 8 replacement, please visit the project page.

In-Person Meeting Information
