Housing Grants

Program Description

The Arlington County Housing Grants Program is a county funded program that provides a monthly housing grant to eligible households. These grants cover a portion of monthly rent, depending on household income, household size and rent amount. Applicants must meet income requirements and personal assets may not exceed $35,000.

Eligibility Requirements

This program serves Arlington renters who are:

  • 65 years or older
  • Totally and permanently disabled
  • Working families with at least one child under age 18
  • Clients and patients of a County-operated or County-supported mental health program

Income Guidelines

Maximum allowable gross income from all sources is as follows (however, depending on ages of household members and apartment rent, actual income limits may be less):
