Permit Arlington Statuses and Definitions

The following statuses and terms appear in Permit Arlington. Some statuses and terms are applicable to specific permit types only. Use the Definition and Action Required By info to determine next steps.

Accepted  All  Any deposit fees have been paid and project moved to plan review.  County reviews and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction. Turnaround time is based on permit type. 
Accepted - Fees Due  All  Project passed intake / completeness check and has fees to be paid. For permits that require deposit fees.  Applicant needs to make payment. 
Note: for most permits, anyone can make an online payment on an available balance. 
Additional Info Required  All  Project was rejected at intake.   Applicant needs to provide or correct information on permit application per the written rejection notes from the County.  
Application Complete  All  Project has been submitted for review and is at intake / completeness check.  County reviews and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction. Turnaround time is based on permit type.  
Approved - Fees Due  All  Project has been approved at final review and final fees are due.  Applicant needs to make payment.
Note: for most permits, anyone can make an online payment on an available balance. 
Awaiting Contractor Info  All  Project has been sent back to the customer to submit the contractor info.   Applicant needs to provide or update contractor info.  
Awaiting Final Insp / Inspection LDA / LDAP  Stormwater Management Facility Meeting inspection is approved and customer can now schedule the final inspection.   Applicant needs to schedule final inspection. 
Awaiting Inspection COs   Project has been approved at plan review and customer can schedule inspections.   Applicant needs to schedule inspections.  
Awaiting LDA Approval  LDA Related LDA is pending approval.  County & Applicant: Some building permits will require an approved LDA before approved building permit can be issued.  
Awaiting Plans and Documents  All  Project has been created but not submitted for review until plans and / or documents have been attached.   Applicant needs to attach necessary plans / documents / forms and submit permit for review.
Canceled  All  Project has been canceled.   Applicant needs to submit a new application (if permit is still needed). 
Closed  All  Project is closed.  N/A - permit has been issued, paid for and inspected.  
Finaled  Building and Trades  Final inspection has been approved and the permit is now closed out.   N/A - permit has been issued, paid for and inspected.  
In Review  All  Project is in final review.   County is conducting final review and fee calculation for approved permit submission.  
Issued Awaiting Insp / Inspection / Inspections  All  Approved plan set is ready.  Applicant may now access their approved plan set from Permit Arlington.  
Issued Awaiting Plan Set  All  Fees have been paid and the permit has been issued. County creates the approved plan set.  County generates plan set in Permit Arlington (typically 2 business days).  
Not Eligible for Streamline  LDA / LDAP  Project was deemed not eligible for the Streamline method.  County Stormwater Management team will contact applicant.  
Pre Construction Phase 1  LDA / LDAP  Applicant may schedule Pre Construction Phase 1 inspection.  Applicant schedules Pre Construction Phase 1 inspection in Permit Arlington.  
Pre Construction Phase 2  LDA / LDAP  Pre Construction Phase 1 inspection is approved and applicant may now schedule Pre Construction Phase 2 inspection.  Applicant schedules Pre Construction Phase 2 inspection in Permit Arlington. 
Prelim Rev Complete  SPLN / SPLAs   Preliminary plan review has been completed.   County reviews and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction.
Processing Approval  TREX / EXCV  Final fees have been paid and is pending issuance.   County to issue permit.  
Processing Approval-Fees Due  TREX / EXCV  Project has been approved at plan review and is now waiting for final fees to be paid.  Applicant needs to make payment. For most permits, anyone can make payment on an available balance.  
Received Contractor Info  All  Project has been submitted to the contractor.   County will review and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction. Turnaround time is based on permit type. 
Rejected  All  Project has been rejected. This is applicable to Revision to Approved (RA) records for trade permits, some types of RAs for building permits and small cell permits. 

Applicant creates a new revision on the existing building permit. 

For small cell permits, a new application is required.  
Revise Contractor Info  All  Project has been sent back to the customer to revise the contractor info in the application.   Applicant provides properly licensed contractor for the scope of work described in the application.  
Revisions Received All  Project has been resubmitted after being rejected either at intake or plan review.  County will review and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction. Turnaround time is based on permit type.
Revisions Required  All  Project has been sent back to the applicant for resubmission.   Applicant needs to revise their plans per the rejection notes.  
Submission Complete  Planning projects  Project has been submitted for review and project is a) at intake / completeness check or b) at plan review after filing fees are paid.   County will review and either a) approves and moves permit forward, or b) rejects and provides written comments of what is still needed or in need of correction. Turnaround time is based on permit type. 
SWM Meeting Facility  LDA / LDAP  Pre Construction Phase 2 inspection is approved and customer can now schedule the Stormwater Management Facility Meeting inspection.  Applicant  schedules Stormwater Management Facility Meeting inspection in Permit Arlington. 
Void  All  Project has been set to void.   Applicant calls County for more info.
Withdrawn  All  Project has been withdrawn.  N/A -  Submit a new application (if permit is still needed).
