Winter Closures 2022/2023

Arlington County Cultural Affairs facilities will be closed on County holidays, as well as the dates listed here:
Sat, Dec 24, Sun, Dec 25, and Mon, Dec 26
Sat, Dec 31, Sun, Jan 1, and Mon, Jan 2

3700 S Four Mile Run will also be closed on Fri, Dec 23 and Fri, Dec 30.

Arlington County Cultural Affairs provides scenery construction facilities as a part of its support of arts organizations that receive grants from the Arlington Commission for the Arts. The County charges a nominal fee for the use of the shop.

Scenery Studio Location, Hours and Access

Staircase in a scene shopThe studio is located at the Gunston Arts Center, 2700 S. Lang Street, Arlington, VA, 22205. Studio time must be requested in advance by using the Scenery Studio Request Form(DOCX, 167KB).

Hours
Monday: 2 pm-10 pm
Tuesday: CLOSED
Wednesday - Friday: 2 pm - 10 pm
Saturday: 10 am - 6 pm
Sunday: 12 pm - 8 pm 

Studio users should park in marked parking spaces. The loading dock area is for loading and unloading only. Do not park in front of the loading dock or garage.

Reserving Scenery Studio Space

Studio space should be reserved using the Scenery Studio Request Form(DOCX, 167KB).  Please note any special requirements such as a tall set that must be assembled or drops that will be painted.
