The performing arts is one of the best connectors for people and communities. In Arlington, signature festivals like the Rosslyn Jazz Festival draw over 10,000 people from all around the Metro DC area, while festivals like the Columbia Pike Blues Festival celebrates the vibrant culture of one of our most diverse neighborhoods.

Columbia Pike Blues Festival

Columbia Pike Blues FestivalThe Columbia Pike Partnership's signature event for south Arlington’s main street brings a mixture of performers bringing funk, R&B and “traditional blues” to life. The free event spans three blocks at the intersection of Columbia Pike and Walter Reed Drive, is produced by the Columbia Pike Partnership and supported by Arlington Arts and Virginia Tourism Corporation’s Music Festival Sponsorship Program. Musical programming includes local groups like Rufus Roundtree and Da B’More Brass Factory, D.C.’s Full Power Blues and headliners Betty LaVette. Arlington Arts have also developed an interactive Art Island where last year guests participated in a mural-painting project highlighting Columbia Pike landmarks, and festival-goers can also enjoy local eateries and a kid’s area.
