Therapeutic Recreation

 

April has traditionally been recognized as Autism Awareness Month. In recent years, many individuals and organizations have started referring to it as Autism Acceptance Month, reflecting a growing shift toward a broader emphasis on acceptance and inclusion. While awareness highlights understanding autism, acceptance centers the voices, experiences, and contributions of individuals with autism and encourages communities to create environments where everyone can feel valued, respected, and supported.
