We understand that experiencing property damage or injury can be stressful, and we are here to assist you in addressing your concerns. This online portal allows you to submit claims related to property damage or personal injury involving Arlington County Government, at your convenience – 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
What Types of Claims Are Eligible for Submission? You may submit a claim if one of the following applies:
Property Damage: If your property was damaged due to flooding, sewer backups, fallen trees, or other issues for which you believe the county may be responsible.
Personal Injury: If you were injured as a result of a slip or fall on county-owned property.
County Construction Projects: If your claim relates to an incident involving a specific construction project (e.g., roadwork, infrastructure repairs, etc.), the county will assist you in identifying the appropriate contractor contacts. However, the matter will need to be addressed directly with the contractor.

Will I Receive Confirmation of My Claim Submission?
Yes, once you submit your claim, you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging receipt of your submission. This confirmation will provide you with a record of your claim. You will be contacted by a member of the Risk Management Team within 24 to 48 business hours.
Information provided on this form is considered to be a Public Record under the Virginia Public Records Act. This information will be kept confidential to the extent it is permitted by law; however, portions of this may be subject to release by the County in response to a request made under the Virginia Freedom of Information Act or other applicable laws.
