YOUNG ACVEIVERS PROGRAM
Community-based program for at-risk boys ages 13-17.
Fosters self-esteem and self-discipline through psycho educational groups, structured activities, promoting pro-social skills, community service, family style meals, therapeutic recreation, and strong positive male role-modeling.
Emphasizes valuing education through mandatory study hall, homework assistance, academic goal setting, and educational outings/ fieldtrips.
Encourages personal responsibility, accountability, and the development transferable life skills through direct and honest feedback about group interactions and behaviors in the community as well as at home, as they relate to individualized goals.
