Girls outreach Program

The Girls’ Outreach Program is an after-school program that assists young women struggling at home, at school or in the community during the high-risk hours after school with an emphasis on school recovery and skill building. The group dynamic of the program is a peer helping model, in which clients learn to support each other. They learn and model positive communication and how to make responsible choices. Staff provide immediate feedback, encouragement and support clients while they practice their new skills. The program also supports parents, who play a vital role in the development of goals, evaluating progress and setting effective boundaries.
