Statement on WERA Broadcasting Temporary Authority

On July 9, 2026, Adame Consulting LLC contacted Arlington County staff to request access to the transmission room and the roof, indicating only that they intended to drill a hole on behalf of Radio Arlington. There was no other information about the nature of the request or any proposed additional work. With continued missing necessary information, the County is working to determine next steps.

Statement on Proposed Triumphal Arch Planned for Memorial Circle

Recently, several Arlington departments were contacted by federal agencies to provide comments on the proposed Triumphal Arch at Memorial Circle in Washington, D.C. While the location is on federal land, not in Arlington, the County’s proximity to the proposed site makes Arlington a key consulting party in this project.

Weekend Rail Service Resumes at Crystal City Metro Station

As of June 9, 2026, weekend work at Crystal City Metro station is completed two weeks ahead of schedule and Metrorail service will resume this weekend (June 12-13).
