REPORTS

MALICIOUS WOUNDING BY MOB, 2025-06080177, 4600 block of S. Four Mile Run Drive. At approximately 10:31 p.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside his parked vehicle when a group of approximately five to six juvenile male suspects approached and began yelling. The victim then exited his vehicle, a physical altercation ensued and several of the suspects displayed knives. One of the suspects stole the victim’s phone from his unoccupied vehicle before all of the suspects subsequently fled the scene on foot. The victim then located the group a short distance away and confronted them during which the suspects physically assaulted him and one of the suspects struck the victim with a knife, resulting in a laceration, before the group fled the scene. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital. A lookout was broadcast, and responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspects yielding negative results. Later in the evening, officers observed two individuals in the area of S. Glebe Road and northbound I-395 matching the description of two of the suspects, conducted a subject stop and detained them. During the course of the investigation, an airsoft gun and suspected narcotics were recovered. One juvenile male suspect was charged with Possession of Marijuana by a Person Under 21 and Carrying an Air Gun in Public and was released on summons. The remaining outstanding suspects are described as Black and Hispanic males in their teens, approximately 5’4”-5’10”, wearing face coverings. The investigation into the circumstances of this incident is ongoing.

ROBBERY (late), 2025-06080028, 2600 block of Richmond Highway. At approximately 2:45 a.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the late report of an armed robbery. Upon arrival, it was determined the male victim was inside the business when he engaged in conversation with four juvenile male suspects which quickly turned into a verbal dispute. As the victim exited the business, the four suspects assaulted the victim. One of the suspects brandished what appeared to be a firearm and the other suspects stole the victim’s jewelry before fleeing the scene in a sedan. The victim sustained minor injuries. At approximately 7:37 p.m. a lookout was broadcast out of Fairfax County for an armed robbery in which three juvenile suspects fled the scene in a sedan driven by the fourth suspect. Responding officers located the suspect vehicle in the 4500 block of 31st Street S. and took the four occupants of the vehicle into custody without incident. It was later determined these individuals matched the description of the suspects from the prior incident. During the course of the investigation, an airsoft gun, and jewelry were recovered. Charges for the juvenile suspects are pending.

ROBBERY, 2025-06080086, 1000 block of S. Hayes Street. At approximately 12:43 p.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the report of a shoplifter in custody. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, allegedly concealed merchandise in a backpack and exited the store without payment. When the suspect was confronted by Loss Prevention personnel outside of the business, he pushed the employee, before being escorted back into the business where the stolen merchandise was recovered.  The suspect fled the scene again and was located by responding officers in the area. Damdinbal Nanjid, 50, of Arlington, Va. was arrested and charged with Robbery.

ROBBERY, 2025-06060265, 2000 block of Clarendon Boulevard. At approximately 11:19 p.m. on June 6, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and went to exit the store without payment. When confronted by an employee, the suspect made threatening statements towards the employee before fleeing the scene on foot. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area of the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Black male, approximately 30-40 years old, wearing all black. The investigation is ongoing.

ROBBERY, 2025-06060033, 2500 block of Langston Boulevard. At approximately 7:21 a.m. on June 6, police were dispatched to the report of a robbery by force. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect entered the business, collected merchandise and approached the counter inquiring about purchasing cigarettes. When the employee placed the cigarettes on the counter, the suspect grabbed the cigarettes as well as the other merchandise and exited the store without payment. When confronted by an employee outside of the business, the suspect pushed the employee before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported. Responding officers conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a heavy-set Black male, approximately 55-60 years old, approximately 5’8”, with a bald head wearing a black long-sleeve shirt, black shorts and a blue face covering. The investigation is ongoing.

UNLAWFUL ENTRY, 2025-06080042, 300 block of Long Bridge Drive. At approximately 5:51 a.m. on June 8, police were dispatched to the report of a suspicious person. Upon arrival, it was determined the male suspect gained entry into the closed business and subsequently fled the scene prior to police arrival. Police conducted a canvass of the area for the suspect yielding negative results. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. The investigation is ongoing.
