REPORTS

ROBBERY, 2022-10060086, 1500 block of Wilson Boulevard. At approximately 11:04 a.m. on October 6, police were dispatched to the report of a larceny just occurred. A lookout was broadcast and officers located the male suspect in the 1800 block of N. Moore Street and took him into custody without incident. The investigation determined the suspect was inside a business when an employee observed him concealing merchandise and attempted to offer assistance, during which the suspect declined and walked away. A short time later, the employee attempted to assist the suspect a second time, during which the suspect allegedly displayed a knife and made threatening statements towards him before leaving the business with the stolen merchandise. No injuries were reported. During a search of the suspect incident to arrest, officers recovered a knife and the stolen merchandise. Nevelon Short, 35, of No Fixed Address, was arrested and charged with Robbery. He was held without bond.
