- No reservation required
- Locations across the County
Open Door Mondays, your chance to chat informally, one-on-one, with an Arlington County Board Member on any topic, will resume for 2018 on Monday, January 22, at
Aurora Hills Branch Library. Open Door Mondays are from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. No reservation is needed.
"My colleagues and I always learn something at Open Door Mondays," Arlington County Board Member Katie Cristol said. "The Board Members take turn hosting these meetings, where we have a chance to have real conversations with individuals or small groups of constituents. Whoever is hosting reports back to the rest of the Board, and when necessary, to the County Manager, on issues or concerns that are raised and on any follow-up actions that need to be taken."
Open Door Mondays are held every Monday, January through July, and September through November, except when a Monday falls on a County holiday, County offices are closed (i.e., due to a snow emergency), or conflicts with a Board Meeting. The first Open Door Monday of each month is held at
Langston-Brown Community Center; the second Open Door Monday is held at
Arlington Mill Community Center; the third Open Door Monday is held at
Central Library, and the fourth Open Door Monday is held at
Aurora Hills Library.
Open Door Mondays are not held in
August or December.
