Construction started Nov. 17, 2025. Construction ended and the field was reopened in April 2026.

About the Project

This project is for the replacement of the rectangular synthetic lower field at Thomas Jefferson Park.

Project Goals:

  • Replace existing synthetic turf.
  • Update existing athletic equipment.
  • Increase fence height behind soccer goals
  • Provide 'side-ways' striping of two smaller fields for youth play.

Fall 2025 - Construction Begins

Construction started on or about November 17, 2025. Construction started Nov. 17, 2025. New turf installation complete. Punch list corrections in progress.

During the project, there may be parking impacts and temporary restrictions in the lots nearest the lower field to allow for construction access and equipment. Please follow posted signs and give yourself extra time when visiting the park.

We expect the project to take about two and a half months, with completion anticipated by mid-late Jan. 2026. 

Winter 2026 - Construction Ends
