Project Background

This project will improve stormwater capacity at two locations east of the Westover Shopping Area, as part of Arlington's resiliency initiatives.

• At N Kennebec St & 11th Rd N, new stormwater pipes and a Green Street rain garden are planned to improve stormwater capacity and provide green infrastructure benefits. Green Street rain gardens help capture, absorb, and filter stormwater, as well as providing native plant pollinator habitat. Curb bump-outs at the corner of Westover Park will improve intersection safety. 

• At Washington Blvd at N Illinois St, new stormwater pipes will be installed to provide more capacity.
