Damaged outfall structure leading to stream

The outfall at S Kensington Street and 5th Road South leads to a small stream in the Upper Long Branch watershed, near Long Branch Nature Center.

The Long Branch outfall is a high priority for repair due to severe active erosion and broken and damaged stormwater pipes. The project will create a stable outfall, repair infrastructure, stabilize an 8-foot drop in the stream channel, remove invasives and plant native plants, and recreate the connection from the Moses Ball Spring to the stream. Thank you to the neighbors who were able to join in a streetside meeting in August 2025.

Please join us for a follow-up meeting on Wednesday, October 15 at 6:30pm at the corner of 5th Rd S and S Kensington St to hear project updates, provide feedback, and look at the area together.

Please share your input! Go to the online feedback form to see updated designs, a perspective rendering, and help answer questions about the 5th Rd S & S Kensington area, including the fence, landscaping, and other key topics.
