Maintenance Construction Closure on Northbound George Mason Dr

Northbound George Mason Drive between N Park Dr and N Carlin Springs Rd was closed in late June - early July 2022. The closure was due to maintenance construction repair of a damaged manhole that has caused a sinkhole in the road. The work has been completed.
Both northbound lanes of George Mason Drive between N Park Dr and N Carlin Springs Road were closed. Southbound lanes will remain unaffected. The sidewalks and crosswalks remained open during construction.
Detour signage directed northbound traffic on George Mason Dr to turn right on N Park Dr, left on Carlin Springs Rd, and right to return to George Mason Dr (see image below). All lanes were open to traffic during the evening after 6pm and in the morning prior to 9am.
