About the Project

There is a history of flooding along 9th Road North and some of the homes and yards in this area. Stormwater currently flows to a low point between N. Liberty and N. Livingston Streets.  The existing storm sewer pipes do not have sufficient capacity to convey stormwater during larger storm events.

The project will provide additional capacity to the storm sewer system in this area, to reduce the risk of flooding on private property.

• This project involves the installation of 1,690 feet of reinforced concrete storm sewer pipe and structures in the street right of way.  This new stormwater system will help to reduce the risk of flooding in this area.
• There will be traffic disruptions and some temporary sidewalk detours. Driveway aprons in the area should not be impacted.
• Construction is expected to last approximately 5 months.
