Background
The stormwater pipe and outfall under 25th St North had deteriorated and begun to undermine the road. A stormwater outfall is where the stormwater pipe releases water to a stream or channel. The pipe and outfall were in need of repair.
Project Information
The repair project included construction of a new storm sewer pipe under the road, a new outfall, the addition of two storm drains on the street and two yard storm drain inlets. The stormwater pipe was extended slightly into the stream to reduce erosion, and the area around the outfall was re-graded to a more gradual slope for safety. Curb and gutter were constructed along the street and the road will be re-paved following the construction. Two trees were removed to allow the work, and eight new trees will be planted in the project area.
Construction Schedule
The contractor has completed the work to repair the outfall. The tree planting will take place in early September.
