Wastewater Pretreatment Program

Arlington County’s Wastewater Pretreatment Program prevents the introduction of pollutants into the Publicly-Owned Treatment Works (POTW). These pollutants could interfere with the operation of POTW, including its use or disposal of municipal sludge. The program will improve opportunities to recycle and reclaim municipal and industrial wastewaters and sludges.
