SPARK! is a fun inclusive outdoor market with handpicked art and food vendors, and programming including poetry, music and art making. Meet your neighbors, build community and be inspired at SPARK! Hang out with us the first Sunday of the month at the new outdoor 2700 Art Space just steps from Jennie Dean Park, the Shirlington Dog Park, and the County’s newest arts facility, the Studios at Arlington Arts.

Free Interactive Art Projects

  • Poet is IN - Featured Poet: Angelique Palmer. The Poet is IN pop-up booth puts noted regional poets in public places like farmers markets and libraries, to create free, customized poems for citizens right on the spot.
  • Roxana Geffen - Be inspired by viewing gorgeously patched and embellished fabrics by artist Roxana Geffen. Trade in your loved clothes for someone else to enjoy, pick up an artist-designed instructional zine and the supplies to sew and patch with us or save for a future project.

 

Music

Leon City Sounds is a Washington, D.C. based DJ duo made up of married couple Claudia A. and Charles Lawrence, who are known for spinning a mix of genres, primarily Latin American styles like cumbia, chicha, and salsa, on vinyl for over 10 years. They also incorporate other musical genres such as reggae, ska, punk, and psychedelic surf rock into their sets.

Food

  • Rossana Rossana - Mobile Espresso Experience. We sell handcrafted Coffee, espresso, and tea beverages, along with flavored lemonades, and blended drinks. We also offer housemade pastry and baguette sandwiches.
  • King of Pops - All-natural popsicles with fruity and creamy options! Gluten-free and vegan friendly.
  • Mango Mama - Specialty pop-up dessert vendor bringing fresh mango sticky rice and Thai-inspired tropical beverages.

Art of Kyote Art of Kyote is a collection of illustrative and ceramic art, including wheel thrown pottery decorated in original drawings of plants and animals, handmade porcelain jewelry and ornaments, original illustrations, small paintings, and stickers.
Cycle Killer Art and wearables (belts, earrings, bracelets) made from upcycled bicycle parts.
Drift Away with J
Unique fiber art that resembles treasures from tidepools and forest walk.
Fields Originals Unique handmade crocheted creations such as hats, blankets, scarves, wine bottle and tissue box holders, etc. as well as wearable art.
Hooked and Loopy Hooked and Loopy creates crocheted stuffed animals, toys, and soft sculpture for babies, kids, and the young at heart. Each creature is purposefully made, one at a time, by hand, with machine-washable 100% cotton yarn. Hooked and Loopy celebrates the imagination of both children and adults by offering a range of real and magical animals, fictional characters, and inspirational figures from history. Our creatures are the calm and quiet canvas to help support child-directed play and inspire joy and comfort in all ages.

Tigerflight
One of a kind animal pillows using reclaimed textiles.
Wandering Shelf Arlington-based Mobile Bookstore selling new books, used books, and bookish merchandise out of a Ram ProMaster van. Primary genres are cozy, fantastical, and impactful, plus a variety of children’s and middle grade books.
Zen27 Healing and Body Works Licensed Massage Therapist in therapeutic massage, biodynamic craniosacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, and sports therapy massage. Sessions will be available from 10-20 minutes.
