Look: An Unexpected Arts Experience
Next date: Saturday, February 28, 2026 | 10:00 AM
to 09:00 PM
Art builds community...help us transform a vacant commercial building into a fun, inventive, and interactive POP-UP art space. Over three weekends, the reinvented space will host art exhibits, performances, and hands-on workshops and classes.
Housed in a former Walgreens along Langston Boulevard, the space will be transformed into a vibrant hub for visual arts, creativity, and community connection. Look: an Unexpected Arts Experience is completely free and open to the public. Funded in part through a grant from an Arlington Arts Creative Placemaking Grant, the gallery is a bold new platform for showcasing the diverse talents of artists from across the DMV area, while also creating space for neighborhood-level engagement and cultural exploration. Look Arlington will host a variety of emerging and established local artists, along with live performances, local food offerings and dining incentives, and artist-led workshops.
Schedule of Events
All workshops and performances are free and open to the public. A limited number of seats are available for each performance, with plenty of room for standing. Workshop registration is on-site only with sign-ups starting on Friday at 6pm for each weekend’s classes. View the schedule of performances, workshops, and other activities.

Vocalist and songwriter Cecily (pronounced Ses-Suh-Lee) is known for her agile soprano and honest lyrics. The Washington, DC native has a rich, soothing sound rooted in mid-century Soul and Jazz. Often drawing comparisons to Minnie Riperton and Amel Larrieux, her music is imbued with a unique sensuality that informs not only her vocal approach, but also her self-reflecting lyrics. View Cecily's website.
