The Arlington Foundation for Families and Youth

The Arlington Foundation for Families and Youth, formerly the Arlington Partnership for Children, Youth and Families Foundation, was an outgrowth of the Partnership. Present and former APCYF board members determined that a nonprofit, charitable corporation was needed to raise and expend funds for Partnership projects that the county and school budgets cannot accommodate. Specific activities to be conducted by the Foundation are:

  • Continuing support of the Carlin Springs Community School.
  • A multi-faceted prevention campaign to delay the age of onset of alcohol use among Arlington youth.
  • Providing recommendations to the Boards (County and School) about public policy issues and resource allocation matters to improve the health, well-being, and safety of children, youth and families in Arlington County (Foundation’s mission).
