Adult Flag Football

Arlington County Adult Flag Football returns with a new, faster paced 6v6 format. The Adult Flag Football League is a  competitive league open to all adults ages 18+.

Cost

$500 per team plus $30 per non-Arlington resident.  Fees include 8-regular season games plus a minimum of 1 playoff game.

Residency

Teams must be comprised of at least 66% Arlington Residents. Arlington residents include “business residents” who work in Arlington, but do not live in Arlington. “Business residents” will count towards meeting the residency requirement, but must still pay the $30 non-resident fee.

Leagues

Leagues are offered during the Spring and Fall seasons. The spring season will start early to mid March. The Fall Season will start late August to early September. Games will consist of two 20-minute halves. The clock will run continuously except for in the final two (2) minutes of each half, or when stopped for a time-out. Teams must furnish their own flags. The flags should be 2 or 3-inches wide and USFTA approved, e.g.. sonic socket release flags. Example of flags.

Free Agents

Individuals may register at any point during the season and are not subject to payment unless picked up by a team. Free agents are not guaranteed team placement. Free agents are added to a free agent list that is only accessible to team captains. Team captains may then reach out to free agents to gauge interest in joining their team.

Game Locations

All games are played on synthetic turf fields at Long Bridge Park, Wakefield High School, Washington-Lee High School, Greenbrier Park or Bishop O’Connell High School.
