Nature In Winter

Adults. Dormancy, super-cooling, underfur, and countercurrent heat exchangers are some of the tricks life uses to get through winter. We’ll learn about adaptations plants and animals employ to cope with the cold. This program will include a lecture and a field exploration. Teens ages 14 and up are welcome, but must be accompanied by a registered adult. Registration Required.
