The Clarendon War Memorial markers stand in Clarendon Central Park adjacent to the Clarendon War Memorial, which commemorates the Arlingtonians who lost their lives in five conflicts of war. This was done to commemorate the centennial of WWI, Arlington County Government, in collaboration with the County’s WWI Commemoration Task Force and Arlington’s American Legion and Veterans of Foreign War posts, developed this interpretive marker project to document the impacts of war on the local community.
