This newly renovated grassy 12.5-acre park has two playgrounds (pre-school and school-age) that features a obstacle balance course, rock climbing and play towers with slides. The park also has a rectangular field (permit takes priority), a soothing stream, a dog park (sponsored by Banneker Dogs; closes at 8 p.m.), picnic areas with seating and nearby access to Four Mile Run Trail, W&OD Trail and Custis Trail. Make sure to check out the boundary marker of the original District of Columbia.
The small dog area has a weight limit of 30 pounds. Before your next park outing, learn whether or not your dog should play in the stream.
