About the Fire Department  

The Arlington County Fire Department provides world class Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to the citizens of Arlington County.

Emergency Medical Services

The primary focus of the Office of the Fire Marshal (FMO) in the initiative is working with businesses to provide guidance on fire safe practices for businesses and Assembly occupancies, such as proper maintenance of mechanical and fire protection equipment, maintaining and upholding the Statewide Fire Prevention Code. Separate from the Fire Department, the Fire Marshal's Office focuses on Fire Code Enforcement, through public education, community engagement programs, fire investigations, community connect, providing special event permits, and more.

Office of the Fire Marshal

The Arlington County Office of the Fire Marshall offers a variety of services. These services include fire prevention code education and making sure your residential buildings and homes are up to code, as well as numerous community events including children, teens, and adults. We offer in-home services for a range of residential needs for the elderly or Arlington businesses.
