FAMIS (Family Access to Medical Insurance Security) MOMS

Program Description

Provides health care coverage during pregnancy and for two months following the end of pregnancy.

Services covered:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Physicians visits
  • In-patient and out-patient hospital care
  • Preventive care
  • Dental Services (effective 3/1/15)
  • Application do not require a face-to-face interview. Mail-in and faxed applications are accepted.
  • Interested persons can get an applications by visiting or calling the office.

Eligibility

  • Virginia resident
  • U.S. citizen or legal immigrant
  • Currently pregnant or within the 60 day period after pregnancy ends
  • Applicant does not have other insurance
