Speaking at Budget and Tax Rate Public Hearings

In accordance with the Meeting Procedures for CIP, Budget & Tax Rate(s) Hearings adopted by the County Board:

• Signing up Online: Individuals may register to speak in advance using the above online registration form. These forms will open at 8:00 am five business days in advance of each hearing. Upon completion of online registration, a confirmation email will be provided. Speakers may call the County Board Office at 703-228-3130 the day of the hearing to learn their assigned speaker number.
• Signing up In Person: Individuals may register to speak in person beginning at 6:00 pm the evening of the hearing. Visit the Information Desk on the 3rd floor outside the Board Room. These speakers are called in the order in which registrations are received after all those who signed up in advance in the 2 or 3 minute categories.
• Online and In-Person signup ends at 7:00 pm the evening of each meeting. 
• Time Allotted: Individuals and organizations may sign up to speak for 2 or 3 minutes. 
• Order of Speakers: All 2-minute speakers are called first in the order in which reservations are received, and 3-minute speakers are called last in the order in which reservations are received.
• Canceling Reservations: Registration may be cancelled by calling or emailing the County Board staff. Call 703-228-3130 or send an email to countyboard@arlingtonva.us
• Spanish Interpreters: Spanish translation is available at the meeting. Translation is available in other languages available if requested 3 days before the meeting. Call 703-228-3130.
• Submit Comments Online: In lieu of oral testimony, online comments may be submitted to countyboard@arlingtonva.us.
